Leaving copper coil

My copper coil was due out in January (after 10 years) However, all local clinics have been suspended due to covid. My nearest clinic is 2 hours away (I don't drive). How safe is it to leave it until they open again? I've obviously already left it 4 months

I have no idea but would probably call the dr to ask or sexual health clinic .

I've had mine in for 13 years. Couple of scans for other purpose suggest it's still placed perfectly and no reason to remove it. Gynae said the reason it's 10 years is because that's what the coil is trialled for. There is no medical evidence to suggest anything detrimental will happen after 10 years.
