Anxiety through the roof!

Went to the GP today with mild cramping and discharge. Some heartburn the past few days, but that’s it. Internal examination was normal apart from thrush like discharge. She said it doesn’t seem sinister..

She asked about family history and has requested a full blood count, iron, thyroid and.... CA125??

So now I’m panicking. I have to wait 2 weeks for the blood tests and that’s a lot of time to worry.

I’ve read CA125 isn’t even reliable in women my age (30), and does she really suspect cancer!?

Hi OP, I feel you, medical stuff get me anxious too. But I am sure she's only doing it to rule it out. Also I don't suppose you could be pregnant? It does come with cramps and extra discharge

@bubbleteatea Ugh, it’s awful. Three week wait until I can have the bloods too!

Definitely not pregnant. Got a one year old and he’s enough for now Blush

I can imagine! But I think it's brilliant in the sense that they are being thorough and taking it seriously. It must be so stressful but honestly I think they are just ticking things off a list to be on the safe side.

Bless your DC :)
Another thought, did you recently stop breastfeeding? Wondered if maybe the symptoms could be caused by hormonal changes due to that? I am by no means a medical professional though, just thinking out loud
