I'm in hospital just now. Came in last night due to pain and excessive bleeding. Both bloods and urine test has come back positive. I haven't had sex for at least 18 months and I had my Fallopian tubes removed years ago. They don't believe me. Waiting fir an ultrasound to prove it.

Pregnancy tests sorry. My mind is mashed.

I'd be quite surprised if they are scanning you because they 'don't believe you' don't have Fallopian tubes or because they think you're lying about when you've last had sex

It's far more likely they're scanning you to get a clearer picture of what may be causing the issues

Hope you feel better soon

Barnbop2 · 17/05/2021 10:03

Do you mean they did bloods and urine tests to check if you're pregnant and they both came back as positive to say you are pregnant?

hopeishere · 17/05/2021 10:12

The pregnancy tests are positive? And now you're waiting for a scan.

leeds2glasgow · 17/05/2021 10:45

Both tests were positive. I'm getting an ultrasound. I'm definitely not pregnant.

That's so strange, I have no idea what could cause it but hopefully your scan is ok and they get to the bottom of it for you Thanks

UCOinanOCG · 17/05/2021 11:13

That is so odd. I guess they have to properly rule out pregnancy before investigating other things. Women have been known to lie about or conceal all sorts of things related to their health.

UCOinanOCG · 17/05/2021 11:14

I'm not suggesting you are lying btw!

Sisisimone · 17/05/2021 11:18

I think blood or protein in your urine can cause false positives. I'm sure the scan is for diagnostics not because they don't believe you. They will be able to see you had your fallopian tubes removed from your records. Hope you feel better soon OP!
