I've had my mirena coil removed this week after being in for 9.5 years - it wasn't used for contraception, just to control periods/hormones and it worked well.
Removal was 3rd time lucky with assistance of internal scan beforehand, and came out easily and painlessly other than a deep breath.
3 days later and I've been bleeding continuously- ok to be expected- but I'm so bloated and got the most horrendous pain on the right side of my abdomen (not like an ovulation pain)
Anyone else had anything similar post Mirena removal? Be good to know this is normal and I'm not the only one.
