Adenomyosis/ Endo

I've confirmed adenomyosis and most likely endo- delayed due to covid for further test / treatment. Had horrendous periods for 30 years, and echoing the experience of many I've always been fobbed off.
When period is due sneezing causes acute pain, like something twists. Same during period. Does anyone else encounter this ? Wondering if it's linked or a separate issue.

Sorry to hear that OP. I have Adeno., Endo. wasn't found in latest laparoscopy yet diagnosed over 20 years ago. Nearly 20 years ago another laparoscopy had Vascular Congestion diagnosed.
I hope that all investigations and care from here on in goes wonderfully for you and pain/ symptoms are no longer an issue for you. [Flowers]

I have endo and get the sneezing/coughing pain so you have my sympathies! I hope you’re not left waiting too much longer for treatment.

Unrelated but I just wanted to make the distinction that adeno is never confirmed and only ever ‘highly suspected’ until after the uterus has been surgically removed (ie a hysterectomy) and it’s been sent to the path lab for confirmation.

I’m obviously not saying that you don’t have adeno, I’m sure your consultant is experienced enough to know! But I thought it might be useful to point out the difference in case anyone finds this thread looking for help and is upset that they haven’t had adeno ‘confirmed’.

Yeah, I should have phrased it differently she said she was confident re adenomyosis.
Slightly surprised there are deleted posts! Not exactly a contentious post.
The sneezing pain is awful 😞

So weird! I don’t remember them being out of the ordinary or negative at all. The user has disappeared completely so (at a complete guess) maybe they were causing trouble elsewhere and everything of theirs got deleted?
