Has anyone had a very light period that wasn't a cause for concern?

I'm early 30s and usually have regular, medium flow periods. This month it started on time as usual (pale brown discharge) but the most I got was one spot of actual blood. The discharge tailed off after 5 days. Having googled, I'm worried! I really hope I'm not pregnant. I'm not stressed, overweight, anorexic or have any other symptoms. Dr. Google (bad idea I know!) suggests thyroid problems or cancer.

Has anyone ever had a very light period and it turned out to be nothing to worry about?

Well I'd start by doing a pregnancy test. If that's was negative I'd wait and see what happens next month. I don't think one period that's different to usual is worth worrying about tbh. All sorts of things can cause changes; weight gain/loss, illness, changes in sleep or diet, stress, covid jab etc etc

Thanks for replying. I did have the Covid jab shortly before my previous (normal) period so hopefully it's that. I'm afraid to take a pregnancy test but will suck it up and do it when I can get to the shops.

Yes of course. Over the last 20 years and still here

Mine have generally always been very light. 3 days and a panty liner each day type light. The odd heavier one (meaning changing a pad after 4 or so hours) over the years.

Nevertheless no problems conceiving and several healthy children. Just lucky I think.
