Hi there, has anyone had any experience of Prostap injections to shrink fibroids/ adenomyosis and endrometriosis? I had my first injection today and would be very grateful to hear others women's experience of this? Thanks!

I don’t, but having my first one tomorrow to shrink a huge fibroid. I’ve been prescribed HRT patches too, really hoping the injections alleviate the awful periods and pelvic pressure pain I’ve had for too long. Have you noticed any difference so far?

Hello! I've had an injection today so would be very interested in your experiences. I've got surgery booked for end of Jan to take out a large fibroid that will hopefully shrink a bit before surgery.

Hi, I've had 2 courses of 6 injections for endometriosis.

First was at 19 and one just before I turned 21. First time I tried HRT but ended up not agreeing properly and made me put a massive amount of weight on! But second time I was given a different brand hrt and I was absolutely fine.

Ask any questions you want 😊

Ah thank you so much.
I was given prostap 3 with the hope it will shrink my massive fibroid prior to surgery at the end of Jan.

Slightly nervous about the weight gain as I've lost about 3 stone in preparation for getting 'surgery fit' 🙈

I think I mainly gained weight due to being diagnosed with asthma around the same time so the steriods didn't help the weight gain 😅

I'm 25 now and just had my second laparoscopy with much improvement to my endometriosis. I had the prostap at 21 and 2 months later got pregnant with my daughter which was the reason for me having the injections

Not sure how old you are but the worst thing for me was the menopause symptoms but older women thought I was taking the mick when I'd say I was medically menopausal

I had 2 prostap injections over 12 months because of endometriosis. They gave me HRT but it really didn't agree with me and made me very spaced out and forgetful. I stopped taking the HRT and felt much better for it.

After the 12 months, I was told that I couldn't have any more prostap in case it stopped my periods permanently and put me into an early menopause but that if I experienced problems later down the line when trying to conceive they'd give me a laproscopy at that point. Thankfully that was never needed.
