Heavy bleeding between periods - menopause?

Since pregnancies (7) and having children (2) my periods have been VERY heavy.

Later miscarriages also massive blood loss.

Last child born may 2016

Last hospital admitted misscarriage Dec2016

Tubes tied Jan 2017 after told not to risk further pregnancies.

I have had a chest infection been on antibiotics and high dose steroids.

The last 10 days since my period i have bleed daily but the last few days it has been full flow period heavy.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

I’m 42 have never bled outside of periods birth or miscarriage before.

Not for me. Ive missed ones, then had two in a month, then normal for months, then miss a month etc etc. blood flow is super heavy but all over in 1 or 2 days.

Everyone is different, of course, and if that’s unusual for you, which it sounds like it is, it is definitely worth a call to the GP.

It can happen if you have fibroids or polyps. An appointment with gynae will help find the cause. It's not much fun having heavy bleeds, especially when they aren't happening at expected times. If it is polyps having them removed really does work. Well, it did for me. Sadly they grow back, but again can be removed.
