PCOS and long/non stop bleeding?

My daughter is 15 and severly autistic, she started her periods at the age of 10 but they have never been regular, she can go 6 months without having one. She has symptoms of PCOS, body/facial hair and apparently its more likely in those with ASD, I haven't taken her to the gp as she hates being touched and hates hospitals. 2 weeks ago she got her period and it's just not stopping, is this part of PCOS? I'm unsure of I should contact the GP as they will probably suggest putting her on the pill, we have tried the mini pill in the past but it made her bleed non stop. I don't think there's anything they can give her to stop her bleeding but it can't be good bleeding for so long? I have similar issues myself and end up on iron tablets, its seems dd maybe heading the same way ☹
