Worried about breast cancer..

I’m 32 and currently 16 weeks pregnant. For the past couple of weeks my left breast has been really itchy, and is tender and painful. It wakes me in the night. It looks like it might have some dried yellow discharge on the nipple too. The right breast feels absolutely fine. I can’t see redness or anything as of yet
I’ve got myself really anxious about the possibility of this being IBC. Is it unlikely to be pregnancy related with only being one breast?

You really need to see your doctor or midwife. It could be something like mastitis, does it feel hot or lumpy at all. Put your mind at rest and make an appointment.

It could easily be pregnancy related. Pregnancy makes your body do weird things. However, I think you should go and see your midwife ASAP to put your mind at ease.

Thank you both. I think it does feel slightly warmer than my right breast and a bit more swollen x

It could be something like eczema - I had this on one breast (nipple) in pregnancy.

However, the best (only) thing to do, is go and get it checked out.
