How long after a zoladex injection do periods return?

I had a zoladex injection for fibroid in October. Not had a period since. I was pretty regular before the injection. How long did it take for anyone on here?

I have just gone 50 so not sure if it's still the injection or menopause

Ive just jad my first zoladex injection. I was told it will take approxmately 3 months for it to leave my system.

Will your GP do a blood test to check for hormone levels?

Incidentally, how long did it take for the zoladex to kick in? I'm on day 3 and still bleeding but it's (possibly, hopefully) lessening.

I only had the 1 injection back in October. It worked pretty much straight away. I had 1 day period the day after then nothing since

Its great that it worked for you, but the lack of period would worry me too.

What does your GP say?

I did read that rarely zoladex does make menopause kick in permanently so it's not impossible that your periods are gone forever but I think I'd want to know one way or another.

I've got an appointment for a blood test so guess I'll find out

I really hope it makes my menopause kick in ... but I am in my early 40's so I guess it's unlikely!
