Hcg levels at 75 but im sterilised

I was 6 days late on my period and thought I had a positive pregnancy test.
Rang gp as I have been sterilised 4 years. He did another test that was negative but sent me for bloods as a late period isn't normal for me. My hcg level was 15. So he wanted me to repeat bloods in 2 days. My period came the next day but I went for bloods and they rose to 68. 48 hours later they were 75.
I have a scan tomorrow to see if they can see what it is causing rising hcg levels. Anyone else experienced this?

I'm unsure OP but very interested in what it could be.

Ectopic, potentially?

So mu levels dropped to 58 today. Going back thurs for bloods. Had internal and normal scan found nothing. Treating as possible eptopic. So shocked as I am sterilised. Hoping levels keep dropping now x

unfortunately even sterilisation isn't 100% effective and when it does happen its more likely to be ectopic. The HCG should be doubling every 48 hours so it doesn't seem that its a viable pregnancy and is likely to be ectopic i am afraid.
