After horrendous labour like pains on weds night I spoke to the GP who told me that it would be near impossible for my mirena to be expelling after 5 months... shed referred me for emergency Zoladex injections instead.

Well, today it did indeed fall out!

I can't get through to 111 and don't feel it's an A and E type issue but should I be contacting a Dr or someone medical to tell them? Do I need checking out?

I'm very happy it's fallen out. Am convinced it's been trying to expel since it was put in at the same time as having fibroids removed last November.

I'm now wondering if the horrendous pain and bleeding I've had each month since have been linked to the mirena not suiting my body...

@Escapetothecuntry

I had it during chemo and the hot flushes and menopause symptoms were worse than the actual menopause. I had it to shut down my ovaries to protect them and decided against any more because it was so bad.
That sounds awful! I don't think I'm going to rush info it....

I was given hrt to take if the side affects got too bad. I wasn't going to take it but the night sweats and being unable to sleep just got too much. It's so much better with it and I've not seen anything bad come up as of yet, but I'm only a few weeks in.

Mine did this too although I didn't realise at the time but had massive bleeding with clots then realised I could no longer feel the strings and it was declared AWOL following hysteroscopy and x-ray so we assume that's when it came out. I had nothing but trouble from it being put in so really feel like it was my body trying to tell me something!
I went to A&E when i had the heavy bleeding (got sent by the NHS helpline) and they never even mentioned the risk that it could have been expelled, or to check once the bleeding stopped so it's lucky really that I wasn't using it for contraception!
