White discharge

I’ve been having some changes down south that are starting to worry me!

I had my first baby early 2020 and period returned a few months later. Everything was normal until November last year when I started to notice increased discharge and my periods were lasting a day or so longer than usual - no other symptoms.

Spoke to the GP on the phone who said everything sounded physiological but if I was concerned then have some swabs done to check for infection. I’d already had a smear done which had come back as inadequate, so I decided I’d wait until the repeat one (3 months later) for the swabs.

I had the repeat smear and swabs done last month, smear all clear and the swabs showed BV which was treated with Metronidazole vaginally.

After treatment the discharge definitely decreased but as someone who had no noticeable discharge this time last year, I was still surprised to see some albeit small amounts.

Anyway, I’m now day 12 of my cycle and I have found a large amount of white discharge in my underwear again. The “dried” discharge feels tacky and when I wiped there was a big glob of white discharge. More than I’ve ever had! Completely odourless.

The thing is, before baby I was tracking ovulation and so I know that I ovulate quite late in my cycle. I haven’t tracked since baby so I suppose that could have changed, but how likely is that?

I don’t have any other symptoms, no bleeding, no bleeding after sex etc

I’m getting concerned that there’s something going on with my ovaries as the smear was clear. On the other hand, I don’t know if this is just ovulation and normal changes that can happen. I’ve been the same for years and so this sudden change over the last 6 months is worrying me!
