Worried about breast biopsy?

After my breast biopsy for a lump that the doctor said he was fairly sure would come back with benign changes, he said he would make an appointment to see in 2 weeks for results. Has anyone had to see the Doctor again for a benign result? I thought it would just be a letter or phone call and I am now concerned that he isn't as sure it will be benign as he said he was.

Not breast but I just had to have a face to face follow up for a benign ovarian cyst so not necessarily bad news, I think it just depends on the hospital and/or department policies

I have not but friends that have gone and it was all ok on the results face to face.

I had a biopsy for what they were sure was a fibroadenoma. They said I would receive a letter to come in to get the results so think it's standard.

I hadn't received anything so contacted them and the breast nurse ended up giving me the results over the phone anyway.

Yes I had a follow up - apparently it was benign...but slightly not...basically required no removal or anything but she wanted to explain it to me in person. All was well.

From my experience, after biopsy, the doctors are completely honest about what they are expecting it to be.
I wouldn't read anything into the method of getting the results.

Sorry that you have all been through this. I am waiting for my results at the moment and my life is on hold. I went private and they set up another appointment to get my results. I wish they told me over the phone as soon as possible since the wait is very hard.
