Period tingles

I have googled this- maybe it's just me?

But every month on my heaviest days im aware of a tingling/ pins and needles. All over but especially in my lips.

I've always had heavy periods and gp prescribed iron keeps my ferritin at the just over the line level. Could it be that?

It just isn't the kind of symptom I've ever thought to mention to the GP - should I?

I would contact the GP re this matter and at the same time ask for a referral to a gynae; the underlying cause of the heavy bleeding also needs to be addressed.

I get this, and also have always had heavy periods, I don't think you need to rush to the GP

Thanks, but I've been through gynae & exhausted all the options I was willing to try. (God, they push the coil: every visit! I was constantly having to reject that). I can manage.

It's the pins & needles I'm asking about. To be honest I don't even know if it's just in my head?

Thanks @Skyliner001 - reassuring to know I'm not the only one. Wouldn't it be nice if there was better information about women's biology!
