About 2 weeks ago I started having a dragging feeling like something was pressing or going to fall out of my vagina. It's better after lying down.

I went to the GP today, wasn't one I've seen before. She examined me with the speculum and manually and she said there's no obvious prolapse. She didn't get me to bear down or anything though. She seemed more nervous than me! I looked on my GP website when I got home and she is a trainee.

I'm now bleeding bright red blood and cramping, from the examination. That happens when I get a smear too and sometimes after sex. I've nothing against the GP she was nice, but I'm concerned I suppose that prolapse wasn't thoroughly ruled out. I really don't like to complain but maybe I should go back. No referral or scan offered.

She said my cervix was low and I have a really retroverted womb but no prolapse she could feel. I knew about the retroverted womb.

I have 2 children (15 and 11) but I've never had labour both were planned-ish C Sections. The first they tried to induce but my cervix didn't even ripen so it went to c section, the second was c section by choice cause of previous section.

I've also got PCOS. I'm 33.

What could it be?

I am worried about this because I have to work to pay the bills but it's really difficult waddling through every day feeling like my womb is going to fall out. Sad Sad.

I would go back and insist that you are referred to a gynae; do not put up with this.
