Ovulation pain or appendix?

I THINK I ovulated yesterday and I woke up with a sharp pain in my right side (lower belly) I put it down to ovulation pain as I've experiences it a few times

I've been bloated which I usually am during ovulation (a day or so)

It took a few seconds to go away, it was very sharp but I didn't think much of it

I'm still having the pain today (not as bad) but I can feel it now and then, it's now like a dull ache?

I'm a terrible worrier- does this sound like normal ovulation pain? Or could it be appendix? I stupidly googled it and now I'm worried it's my appendix OR something worse

I do also have a history of ovarian cysts which has gone on for years (they come and go)

Hi I've had this pain for a few years on and off and the same as you thought it was menstrual related untill My back/side also started hurting, I suffer with IBS so I wouldn't no if any other symptoms are being caused by anything other than IBS, I went to my GP as I was noticing the pain more often and hes sending me for a scan of my abdomen and groin area which I have next week I'm too thinking ovarian cysts. But since going to the GP I'm getting worried as I've noticed I'm going to the loo more and I'm not eating tea feeling full after a few mouthfuls can't wait for my scan next week to put my mind at rest. What you are describing sounds like cysts the dull ache and sharp pain are what I get too and if you have history too get to the drs and have it checked x

Always worth getting things checked out. It doesn’t sound similar to my experience of appendicitis. I have had appendicitis (burst) and the pain was like nothing I have ever felt before. It didn’t go away or fade and I kept losing consciousness because of it. You are also unable to eat or drink without vomiting.
Hope you get some answers.
