Hey there
Had full hysterectomy in October 2020. Started on prostap injections august 2019 so that put me in menopause. Weight crept up slowly after that. Since having my op in October I've been on estrogel hrt. I've tried weight watchers slimming world and calorie counting since and my weight is just not budging! Also been doing a lot more exercise. Thyroid function is apparently fine. Anyone else have this? I am about 4 stones overweight at best five at worst and really need to lose weight. Any ideas ?

Have you tried any one of them for a few weeks/ months?

It's impossible not to lose weight if your calories in are less than your energy output.

You're using HRT so that ought to restore your metabolism to pre-hysterectomy levels.

Have you maybe tried the 5:2 diet or the newer variation of 800 cals a day? Look that one up- there's a book on it.

There's no way I could stick to 800 calories a day x

You won't know unless you try :) @catherineofarrogance80

It's all high protein so you will feel a lot fuller than on other things.

It's 2 good meals a day.

They are using a version of it with people with Type 2 diabetes and their diabetes is being reversed in 8 weeks.
