Breast screening

We all think we are invincible until something happens that makes us feel otherwise.

I’ve got a breast clinic appointment next week as I found a lump on my breast (left it 3 months) and I’ve since found another lump under my armpit.

I’m petrified incase it’s something sinister. I’m only 31 and I’ve got three kids 14, 12 and 8. Two school friends are going through chemo for breast cancer. I don’t want to bother my friends and family and worry them unnecessarily. I try and act like I’m fine, but inside I’m screaming and an absolute mess.

Oh bless you! When is your appointment? I found that it was awaiting that was the hardest thing, I ended up having a giant breast cyst which was drained. But it sent me into a cycle of health anxiety. Sending positive thoughts anyway, all of the women who were at the clinic with me had various benign things, breasts very lumpy. You definitely have age on your side as well! Good luck, and let us know how you get on X

Thank you. I’m more anxious due to the fact I now have a lump under my armpit. And two school friends have had breast cancer. It’s most certainly the waiting that is driving me crazy. But thankfully I’ve only got another 4 days until I see the consultant. Thank you lovely. Xx

Good luck with it! Definitely please post to say how you got on! I'm sure all will be fine, the lump may well be unrelated under the arm. 😊
