Pressure sores

Hi im wondering if any maternity staff can help me. I ended up having an epidural in labour. During labour they discovered I had started with pressure sores. Tissue viability stated "DTI minimum grade 3 probably grade 4 serverity pressure ulcer with an overlying grade 2 ulcer"

Is this negligence or something which just happens in labour?

Is there a reason you weren't moving in the bed prior to the epidural? In a healthy female, oressure sores wouldn't be because of the epidural- it doesn't last long enough to need pressure care.

Your pressure sores will have started before. Had you been immobile?

No I was up walking around prior to the epidural. My skin checks prior to the epidural showed no pressure marks
