To go to A&E for pelvic pain?

My pelvic area is quite painful. The pain feels like its my fallopian tubes. If i were to go to A&E would they scan me or send me home and tell me to go through my Dr?

Is it an accident or emergency?

Anotherdayanotherdollar · 09/02/2021 20:59

How painful is "quite painful"?
About to pass out because of pain? Yep, sounds like an emergency.
Less then that? Gp or ring that number ye have in the UK and see what they advise...

I think maybe the sensible thing would be to wait and see your GP unless you feel this is life threatening? Alternatively ring 111?

I don't think A&E is the right setting for this problem

I went to the walk in centre for that sort of pain and they said to wait a few days then go to a&e if it got worse. (It did, was a twisted 25cm ovarian cyst). But it was the sort of pain where I was throwing up and couldn’t stand for long.

Like pp said is it a bit painful or really painful?
Is it causing you any other side effects?
Maybe ring 111 for advice first?
I know in my local authority we need to do this before going to a & e anyway.

Thank you all for responding. It's painful. Id say 6/10. So not extremely painful. Think ill phone 111 and see what they advise. Thank you all again.
