Strange Period

I’m having the strangest period

I started spotting or lightly bleeding yesterday, to the point that my pad only shows up brown stringy period or just brown dots, it’s been going on for 24 hours. I’m normally a bright red medium flow from the moment I start my period.

I’m definitely not pregnant, I’m wondering if this is normal for anyone else? It’s such a sudden change.

This is how mine always start now, it changed in my late 30s after I had Dc2.

I wonder if this is happening to me - How long does it take till you have a “normal” flow?

Depends, some months it takes a couple of days, others it has been a week or so. I eventually went to see the doctor as a few times I had spotting for the entire time between ovulation and my next period, but everything checked out fine.

Tracking my cycles has helped because the time between ovulation and my actual period starting is still relatively regular.

They have been like this for 3 years and I am now starting to notice a few other changes that I assume are are related. For example I have several light periods in a row then a very heavy one.
