Transvaginal ultrasound scan

I’m due a scan in 4 days but am bleeding.
Should I start norethisterone again now to stop it before the scan? Can’t ask a doctor as it’s the weekend.

Not sure what your scan is for OP but I had many transvaginal scans whilst on my period as part of monitoring for fertility treatment and it was never a problem so no need to stop it before scan I wouldn’t have thought.

I had one whilst I was bleeding too and they said it was no problem.

I think norethisterone postpones a period- it doesn't stop bleeding once it's happening.

Thanks for your replies. I just hope it eases a bit before the scan then. Not looking forward to it if I’m still like now.
I was given norethisterone to stop 15 days of bleeding, it stopped it within 2 days.
