Sudden bleeding

Bit of a random one-I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not.

I was sat in the armchair this evening when all of a sudden I felt a fish down below- I thought I had wet myself as it had gone through underwear, trousers and onto the chair.

Turns out I haven't wet myself but I have bled everywhere instead; period is not due until the end of next week and I have had no symptoms to suggest it was coming early and now the bleeding seems to have stopped.

Has anyone experienced similar?

I've have Irregular bleeding, sometimes it is the period coming early, see if your period comes, but I wouldn't worry too much unless it continues and continues and continues.

I did when I started with peri-menopause.
