Is it my age or implant causing weight gain?

This year I will be 34. I have struggled with my weight in the last 2 years which I have to be honest I never really have. I have a healthy diet and a very active life. I have to follow a special low gi diet and cannot eat junk food as I suffer with a skin condition and it is mostly managed by a healthy diet, so weight has never been a massive issue for me, until 2 years ago. I am nearly 2 stone heavier now and I have tried everything monitoring calorie intake, exercising more I cannot no matter how hard I try get under 158 pounds! I am not massively upset about it. I am still fit and healthy and count my blessings, but I am wondering if its my nexplanon implant I started gaining weight in the summer of 2018. I had that implant in may 2018. It just seema like to much coincidence? Maybe when I have it out I may deflate 🤔😂

Age, you are still very young, so I would exclude that. So that leave the nexplanon implant.

Even if the pharmaceutical company flashes studies that showed that users don't gain weight, if you look at the users' perspective, your experience is widely shared www.mavenclinic.com/forum/posts/14331/intense-and-quick-weight-gain-with-nexplanon

I would have it out

Hi I know this post is quite old but I was wondering what happened with you as I had the implant out two months ago and I'm still struggling to loose any more than 3lb despite my efforts ! Where as a few years ago I could easily loose weight quick
