calculating menstrual cycle 3 day period

Hi I came on my period the 25th December for 3 days(27th) & I am trying to work out when I ovulated but I've only had this period since coming off injection(my periods were only short before implant) so I don't know how long my menstrual cycle is yet? Anybody else have a 3 day period & how long is your cycle? Thank you!!

The length of your period doesn't affect the length of your cycle.

You count your cycle from the first day your period starts- that is Day 1. The next cycle starts on Day 1 of your bleeding.

Your cycle continues regardless of whether your bleeding lasts for 3 days or 7.

So you should ovulate 14 days after 25th Dec if you would normally have a 28 day cycle.

okay thank you thought it was day 14 my app says day 11 but must be because I haven't had next period yet

Ovulation however, is not an exact science and a woman can ovulate earlier, later or not at all in any given cycle. A "normal" cycle is a cycle length of between 21 and 35 days or with less than 4 days of variation from month to month.
