Bleeding after orgasm

Severe HA sufferer here.
In the summer I had a bleed after sex - both the GP and a private doctor said it was due to my period finishing the previous day and the fact I'd not had sex in 7 months. Id had a clear smear 2 weeks before so they didn't do a repeat smear, and the internal exam was also fine so no issues with the cervix. I also had a transvaginal ultrasound which didn't show anything abnormal. I've not had sex since but have used a vibrator (can't believe I'm putting this on a public forum) but no bleeding or anything. Most recent period was a week late for no apparent reason (although stress could have caused it cos things have been tough recently).
However, I've just had some pinky blood following orgasm. Fucks sake. Don't know what to do, but feel like I should now ask for a colposcopy (I had this 5 years ago following my first smear test as I had cin3 cells removed via lletz).
Anyone had weird bleeding or anything following orgasm/not necessarily PIV sex??

Yes. After investigations I was told that my lining wasn’t completely being expelled during my period and so sex/orgasm soon after the end of my period was ‘pulling’ the left over blood down. I was told, as I’m 43, it could be linked to perimenopause but also linked to my pcos. I was told that the coil should sort it out so I had that fitted in October. Now I’m bleeding all the time lol!!! Well, spotting anyway.

If you’ve had lots of investigations that came back normal, you could be similar to me and just haven’t got the correct levels of hormones to shed all the lining. Keep a diary and then if it continues you have a record of when the bleeding happens and if it is directly related to sex.

Thanks so much for your reply :) that's really interesting, and does make sense! Did you have copper or Mirena coil fitted? I had the Mirena about 5 years ago and it caused me a lot of pain and random bleeding unfortunately, however I know it can take a fair while to settle down so fingers crossed yours settles down soon and will be worth it xx thing is, I really don't have sex at all, so it's impossible to keep a diary. It makes it extra embarrassing to speak to a doctor because they usually say "does that cause problems in your relationship?" And it's like yes it does lol. Did you have hormone testing done? I'm wondering if that may be worth doing.
