Does anyone else have a fear of C T scan and what it may show

I had one of my chest for pulmonary embolism. I had a cannula put in on the ward and was told in the CT room, when they inject the dye it will feel like I'm wetting myself. It did! Very odd, but over quickly and not painful.

I understand that feeing; there is something omniscient and almost magical about a CT and its ability to find abnormalities.
Mine was normal which was very reassuring.

Definitely a fear of what it might find op, I had one for a pulmonary embolism as well and just like Hagertyjane was told after they injected the dye I would have a feeling of peeing myself (which I did) and if I remember rightly a weird taste in my mouth like blood!! It saved my life though so forever grateful I had it. Are you due to have one OP? Is everything ok?

HUGS65 · 10/01/2021 10:50

It can be to rule things out, like stroke, rather diagnose a specific condition. What symptoms are you worried about?

HUGS65 · 10/01/2021 13:58

As I have breast ca diagnosis and it appears to have been there a long time
