Spotting - 7 months pp

Hi I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this - I’ve not had a normal period since having my baby but the past 3 I’ve had spotting for around 7-9 days before actually coming on my period. Also random spotting in the middle of my cycle. Is this normal after having a baby?
Also unrelated I do have a slight prolapse so could this be causing the spotting ?

Hello! I think the answer is that is not uncommon but not normal I'm almost 9 weeks post and keep getting spotting - I've left a message for my GP (they have a submit a question via e mail) to ask. I suspect in virtually every case spotting is a function of wacky hormones.

@onlyreadingneverposting8 yes I agree, I had a smear on Tuesday so we’ll see if there’s anything untoward. Being a woman is the gift that just keeps on giving...
