Can pregnancy fix your thyroid

This might seem like a strange question....

Before conceiving my second ds I was suffering from many symptoms of an under active thyroid. I won't list them all but I ticked lots of the boxes. I had my levels checked and because they were a tiny bit more than the minimum 'normal' level the gp wouldn't prescribe me medication.

Since giving birth to my second ds 2 weeks ago the weight has been melting off me. I gained 1.5 stone when pregnant, I've now lost 2.
My eyebrows and pubic hair are thicker. Even though I'm obviously tired from breastfeeding a newborn, I actually feel better than I have in a couple of years.

Can pregnancy or breastfeeding reverse a slow thyroid?

Just to add, I think I started feeling 'better' during my pregnancy but it's hard to say. The thicker eyebrows and pubic hair have just been since delivery though
