Talk to me about sanitary pads

I always used tampons but since having kids I just can't wear them, super uncomfortable and feel like being pushed out no matter how far I try to push it in.

Tried menstrual cups and didn't like it either and kept pinching myself trying to get it out which is incredibly painful!

Sanitary pads just seem so bulky between my legs, do you have any recommendations?

I was thinking investing in period underwear but it's expensive and I'm hoping i won't have periods much longer. I have the bar in my arm but started bleeding in August after 8 months in and then gp fitted mirena coil a few weeks ago and now bleeding on that as well even though I've still got bar in! Hopefully a few months this will settle down

Try some reusable pads. So soft and comfy. No plastic rustling and they are more absorbant. I use the ones from cheeky wipes. They wash easily, no yuck factor.

Thanks! Their website has bamboo ones or cloth ones which would you recommend? Do they stay secure in underwear?

Bulky? They are so thin theses days i can't believe they are absorbant enough but I guess they are. My daughter uses Always overnight ones with period pants (not the kind you use on its own, the ones that have a plastic layer in between two cotton layers to help with leaks).

I have both. The cotton ones are less bulky. But the bamboo are so soft, unless they are nighttime ones they are slim.

Yes, they are really secure. Wear close fitting pants, not floaty ones. But they are fine, I was surprised how they stay in place with a popper. They also fold up neatly for storage.

I like fabric washable ones. Very comfortable and thin and they popper under your knicker gusset so even if they’re wider than it they wrap round.

Does everyone use the Cheeky Wipes brand?
