Since yesterday after a bowel movement I noticed I passed vaginal discharge with a hint of blood. Today I have done 5 bowel movements mostly constipated and each time passing clear vaginal discharge with blood streaks. I suffer with health anxiety and I am terrified. I have coeliac disease which is under control and have suffered 2 chemical pregnancies this year and I also take low dose amitriptyline for my anxiety. My period started on the 16th and ended on the 22nd.

Could it be a little bleeding from your bottom thats just got mixed in.

I get this and I have had it investigated. In my case they think it is linked to hormones and a sensitive cervix. So the action of straining to go to poo irritates the cervix (which I have a whole host of problems with!) and causes slight bleeding which means my vaginal discharge has some blood streaks.

So try not to worry too much as there are lots of non sinister reasons it could happen, but do make an urgent appointment with your GP to get it investigated.

I had some similar but I had actual like spotting, I think it was down to cervical errosion when on mini pill, it eventually stopped on its own after a few months (usually happened 3 or 4 days before period was due)

As PP said you might have a cervical erosion (not connected to cancer) and it bleeds on impact- like a bowel movement as the vagina and rectum are so close together, the pressure can cause the erosion to bleed.

See your GP?
