Period and getting older

Just a bit of a random one really

I am noticing as I am getting older my periods are making me feel worse and worse each month. It always starts about a week before my anxiety goes through the roof and I just feel sluggish then when it hits I feel dreadful for a couple of days like today it has floored me, I loose my appetite and I just want to lie in a dark room and not do anything all day. I never used to be like this I used to just get on with it but I am finding it harder and harder

Anyone else have this problem or is it just me being a wimp the older I get 😁😁

It could definitely be peri-menopause.

Look up Dr Louise Newson's website d2931px9t312xa.cloudfront.net/menopausedoctor/files/information/483/Perimenopause%20and%20HRT%20with%20link.pdf

Or the Menopause Support Network on Facebook, there are loads of useful resources and information about changes to periods during our 40's

43 and definitely got worse in the last few years although I did get diagnosed with fibroids which was contributing to the heavy bleeding. I've had them treated but still having a day or two of fairly heavy flow and just generally feel wiped out for a few days.

I have been booked in for a blood test on Friday the doctor rang and spoke to me today and said she definitely feels I am anemic but will need a blood test to confirm

Good on you OP. I’ve started guzzling Spatone with gay abandon after reading this thread.
