Dying hair

My hair is pretty dark at the minute and I'm wanting to go lighter, maybe to a very light brown on top with blonde ombré. I think naturally I'm a light brown but I have died my hair so many times and so many colours (purple, dark red, dark brown) I'm wondering how I can go light myself as I know it would take ages and cost a lot at a salon and most of the time hairdressers tell me that they are unable to do it... when I was younger I died my hair dark and didn't like it and wanted to go lighter so I bought a blonde hair dye and put it on my dark dyed hair and it turned pretty much bright orange and then it was just one time in a salon for them to sort it out for me... Maybe I could put a blonde hair dye on my hair again for it to go bright orange ? And then put a light brown on that ? Would that turn my hair light brown.

You'll need 3-4 rounds of bleach avoid roots, make sure you don't miss any spots as it's quite common to have a section that's still dark. You'll need to get rid of orange by bleaching and using toners before you can cover it with brown. I used bleach and didn't go crazy long to make sure I do t damage my hair. Lots of hair mask and oils in between. I used olaplex 3 in between. Got 5 shades lighter. It was okay but patchy on the back. Went to the salon once to color correct and the final result was great! Watched lots of helpful YouTube videos on how to.
