Cyst, hernia, lipoma or something more serious?

I have birth & days ago, whilst in the early stages of labour a midwife palpated the top of my abdomen and noticed a lump. She said it felt like a cyst.

I didn’t really think much of it at the time until I got up off the sofa the other day and felt a slight pop and very slight pain. It’s definitely still there as I can feel it. It moves around when pushed and is around the size of a malteaser. I was running down the the stairs earlier and could feel the area around it almost pulling and aching. Not painful, a really bizarre feeling as whatever it is is below the skin.

I’ll be seeing my doctor next week so will mention it to him then and see what he thinks.

I’m pretty certain it’s nothing to get worked up about but was wondering if anyone had had anything similar or had any idea what it could actually be?

Sounds like a hernia.
