Morning
My daughter has been having her periods for a couple of years and occasionally she has severe cramping, dizziness and vomiting Sad

It does not happen every month and is decreasing in regularity however she felt like this yesterday and I am concerned for her wellbeing and her schooling (she is in her GCSE year).

So far we have managed it with ibuprofen, heat pads and baths etc. However I wonder whether a trip to the GP (or phone call) may help.

I suppose I am thinking about the pill and wonder if anyone else has had experience with this?

Thanks Smile

I would encourage her to go to the GP and see if you can also sit in on this appointment too (such can cause considerable nerves and doing this could give your DD some moral support).

The pill would likely help with symptoms but it will not address the cause and that should be determined as well. I must say that I had similar symptoms at 15 and in my case the cause was endometriosis.

It may also be an idea for her to keep a symptom diary showing all symptoms and pain on a scale from 1-10.

My dd use to suffer from dizziness and nausea and after getting few test done it was found she has low ferritin. She takes ferrous gluconate now and feeling okay. Please talk to your GP.
