A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with fibroids and cervical polyps, after several mnths of bloody mucus between periods (48 yr old, one birth).
The fibroids were diagnosed by ultrasound and dismissed as an minor issue, but had the polyps removed - 2 by forceps and the 3rd by cauterisation. The bleeding then stopped.
However I noticed a very light bloody mucus 2 days ago - not enough to warrant a pad or stain my pants but apparent after weeing on the toilet roll. It has been apparent for 48 hrs now.
I had a clear smear last year, and have decided to wait a few days before contacting my Dr in case it is just a peri-menopausal blip and clears up on its own. I am also bang mid cycle so could be relevant, but unusual for me to spot between periods and not on any birth control (can't be pregnant lol!)
So my question is, if you have also had polyps, have they ever returned?
