Hi all
I’ve recently had a colposcopy after a smear test showed borderline abnormal cells. The nurse who carried out the colposcopy said it didn’t look like there was anything to worry about but she could see why the results came back as abnormal, so took a biopsy just to make sure.
I’ve just received the results and it says the sample was inadequate and I need to return for another examination in a year.
Is this normal to wait that long?? I’m worried that if the sample was inadequate they haven’t been able to pick up on something that may be wrong?
