Itchy, Sore .... and burning ...

New sexual partner after a two and a half year zero sex.

We have used condoms.

For the last week, I've been very itchy and mildly sore.

Itching wasn't going so I did a BV test, negative.

Assume it's thrush so take a canestan one pill for thrush yesterday morning so nearly 24hrs ago.

Well it's 4:30am .... and I'm burning, itchy and very sore.

Do I need to be patient and let the thrush Meds work or am I looking at something more sinister here.

Could I be allergic to the condoms!? Is that even a thing!?

No knowledge on STDs, but I've reacted to latex condoms in the past. Very itchy and swollen for a day or so iirc.

Hope you get better info from other posters.

You can be allergic to condoms. Can be the latex, spermicide, lube... I'd still get checked though, if I were you.

Thank you both. It's really very, very uncomfortable.

Honestly, thought I was being so careful, I'll get checked out, at 43 I thought I was over all this.

I'm laying here with a small ice pack do ease the burning.
