mammogram recall

Ive just been recalled after my first mammogram.
Im already an anxious person, so I'm in bits.
My appointment is next week but wondering if I should go private today if I can.
Any advice welcome

Haven't they given an indication of why? I did have breast cancer and on one of my yearly checks I got called back but it turned out they hadn't managed to get the full image so had to redo it.

At my clinic if they'd spotted something concerning you'd be called back for a biopsy rather than another mammogram.

I would give them a ring as they may be able to put your mind at rest x

ArsenicNLace no I haven't been told anything as I I was only able to speak to someone in the office. I rang the clinic today as I hadn't received a letter, but they didn't say anything except I had been made an appointment the breast clinic for next week.

Hi I had my call back appointment yesterday. Something was spotted on the ultra sound so I've had a biopsy and need to go back next week for the results.
Not only scared of the results but also catching Covid if I need an operation.

I had a mastectomy 2 weeks ago and it was carried out at the Nuffield to avoid mixing with patients.

I can imagine how anxious you are, really feel for you. How quick did you get you letter for a recall after your first mammogram? Have they give you any idea of what they have found? Sending you a big 🤗
