At the weekend I developed a sore very red patch on my breast with a small “lump” under the surface. The red patch has grow n quickly and the “lump” is sausage shaped about 2cm x 1cm. It feels hot to the touch and looks a little bruised in places.
Saw nurse yesterday who said it may be mastitis gave antibiotics. I’m otherwise well though and it’s not hard and swollen. I had this while breastfeeding and had flu type symptoms then.
She said to go back in a week if not improved. Anyone had mastitis like this?
