Experience with morning after pill

My last period started 08/10/20 and ended 14/10/20. I have a standard 28 day cycle.

Last night about 11pm so cycle day 10, I had a contraceptive failure and didn’t realise until it was too late. I took the morning after pill at 3pm today but I’m a bit worried that it may not work.

My son was a morning after pill failure (taken about 20 hours after) and ofcourse I’m happy it failed now but that was 10 years ago and I have had another child since and I really don’t want another one.

I’m pretty sure the stats are in my favour and it will be fine but what would you say the chances are in your opinion?

As you've taken it before ovulation, it should work and delay it. You may be late coming on your period because of it so take a test when you're due just to make sure it has worked. I took it on the day ovulation and it failed because apparently it doesnt work once you've ovulated.

Thanks. I took it the day of ovulation with my son so quite sure that’s why it failed.
