This will be outing, because I have told the world and his wife about this since Monday!
I had pains towards the end of last week, like ovulation pain, which led on to UTI type pain, bruised feeling in bladder, javelin arse, electric shock pains in kidneys, dull ache in back.
Clear urine test, Dr sent me to hospital for a scan, query ovarian cyst/appendix, they did a million blood tests first, apparently ruled out anything sinister.
Had to wait all day for a scan, then got sent home on awful pain, had to return for the scan the next day.
Radiographer was lovely, took his time. Kidneys fine, which was a relief as I lost my mum to kidney cancer. Bladder fine. He was intrigued about what surgery I had, only EMCS.
He said my right ovary was very close to my bowel, attached to it in fact, and my colon was "looking at him" not jumping out at him, but strange looking, lacking tone and muscle. I take movicol for that, he asked if I'd ever had a colonoscopy, I said no.
No mention of cysts on ovaries. He gave a report to the Dr, who said, ultrasound clear, cyst on right ovary, follow up on 4-6 weeks to see if it's shrunk, got bigger, if it needs further attention, if it is really a cyst?
I'm still in so much pain, do you have any experience of an adhesion? I'm taking movicol and painkillers, and also omaprazole for sore stomach after ibuprofen issue, and I feel like I'm 90 years old.
Would severe pain be typical with an adhesion, if it took 5 years to get sore, will it settle and not give me bother for a while, in the future?
I feel like the Dr skirted round things, I'm happy she's bringing me back for another look, I am 41 and I've read lots, and I didn't know this was a thing until yesterday!
Just looking for your experiences!
