First gynae appointment

Hi. I have a gynae app tomorrow. I had a mmc in Jan and since then cycles have been very long with mid cycle spotting. I'm just wondering what to expect from a first appointment. Thanks

Hello, I am under the fertility clinic (for about a year - no pregnancy yet). First appointment they will probably want to do a vaginal scan, arrange blood tests and swabs, and they may arrange with you to have a hycosy test (where they flush dye through the tubes to check they are both open/clear). The second appointment will probably be quite soon after your first and then when they have an idea of what might be going on they will discuss management with you. Good luck! It’s stressful. I remember we were offered counselling at my first appointment as well, but I turned it down. A year later I wish we had taken the support. Not sure what the current situation is with covid though.

Thanks @Thedot90 it's general gynae rather than fertility clinic but I imagine scan/bloods will be similar. I suspect my hormones are all messed up after my MC rather than a physical issue but it could be either I suppose.
