hi guys hood somewhere here can help with a similar experience. i’m 18 and freaking out. on the inside of my labia minora, there is a single, white pearly spot which is sort of in the middle of my skin, not too close to the top or bottom. it’s really painful when i wipe and it’s been 2 days and no sign of it shrinking. i’ve googled loads of stuff and nothing looks like what this is. it’s not massive, nowhere near like the size of a pea. it’s like a little tiny whitehead but i’ve got no clue on what it is. has anyone else experienced this?

I have had this a couple of times, they just pop or go down. Maybe try a gentle squeeze in the shower or bath?
If it keeps growing, gets very red or you get other symptoms try and see your GP

I get them when I get ingrown hairs but not on my labia. I just pop them and take a shower Blush

I’ve had similar once. I squeezed it whilst in the shower’s warm water. It went. It was just a whitehead.

Is it a Bartholins cyst maybe?

Hot compresses / soak in a hot bath with salt usually does the trick for me. You have my sympathies!

SkylarLynard · 05/10/2020 09:43

thank you everyone. i’ve calmed down slightly, just had a bath and it’s still there and still as sore as ever - getting very worried as my boyfriend is set to come over later and i’m sure he’s going to want to have sex and i’m sure it’s going to hurt! haha, i’ve had this once before on the other side of my inner labia, so my thinking is maybe it’s the lube on the condoms that’s causing this?

So tell him you don't want sex, it's not obligatory.

The cause could be anything - and nothing.

Runnerduck34 · 05/10/2020 10:49

Sounds like a Bartholins cyst. Second PP and treat with regular hot compress, epsom salt baths, and maybe ibuprofen.
You could try gently squeezing to pop it ( thou thats probably not recommended advice!) They generally clear up after a week or two but do go to GP if worried or if it doesnt clear up.
I dont know what causes them but have had them before myself, you could deflect BF or just be honest depending on how you feel.

Hoppinggreen · 05/10/2020 11:01

Why do you think you have to have sex?
If you dint want to then don’t and if the BF gets shitty about it dump him

eurochick · 05/10/2020 12:56

You are laughing at the idea of having sex in pain?Confused Please never feel you should have sex if you don't want to.

It sounds like a Bartholin's cyst, as has been said.
