Period has started again after stopping 4 days ago

Hi I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and is it anything to worry about.

My periods are like clock work even though I'm in my mid 40's. They start on time every 28 days and it's rare for them to be a couple of days late or early.

Anyway, this months period started on time and lasted the usual 4 days. Then this morning (four days after it stopped) I didn't feel quite right with mild period pain and bleeding.

Should I leave it and see what happens or call the doctor?

If you feel something isn’t right then I would check with the Dr, you know your body. I’m sure it’s nothing but always good to get these things checked out

Go to the doctor to to be sure. That happened to me and I'm still bleeding 63 days later.

That happened in my mid 40s too, I believe it’s a sign of peri menopause

I'm not medical and you should take anything like that to your GP if it's unusual for you - but I get this sort of shite a LOT. I'm 47 and perimenopausal and it's been happening, some cycles, for a few years now. GPs don't want to know. Hmm

This happened to me, exactly as you describe. It was peri-menopause. Don't be surprised if your periods get really bonkers.

Did you get to see a GP OP?

MJMG2015 · 14/10/2020 11:30

Never hurts to check with your GP, but mine were like that in my 40's. Drive me nuts as they seemed to go on forever! But I'd take that over the next phase of irregular in both timing & 'intensity'.

Now (51)they get to almost a year, then drop in for a visit. Sometimes 'coloured wee' and sometimes VERY clotty & heavy 🙇🏻‍♀️

It's all a real joy isn't it!!
