Any advice on coil removal? I’m very anxious 😟 it’s coming out in the morning? Do you feel normal afterwards etc? X

It’s so easy and quick! Loads better than having it put in. I’ve had worse smear tests.

It will be done before you know it. I had minor cramps but nothing too bad afterwards.

Quick, easy & painless

MrsGxx · 28/09/2020 20:58

Thankyou, am I to expect any bleeding? I was in theatre when I had it in so I never felt that either. I’m so anxious my stomach is doing flips 😟.

Absolutely fine coming out, no bother at all. I maybe had a couple of blood spots but I can’t really remember. Much easier than it was going in, I kind of braced myself but completely painless.

BuffaloCauliflower · 28/09/2020 21:00

Nothing to be anxious about at all. Takes literally 30 seconds as well.

Justmuddlingalong · 28/09/2020 21:01

I was so busy gabbing to the Dr that I never noticed it.

DramaAlpaca · 28/09/2020 21:01

I literally didn't feel a thing when I had mine taken out, I was pleasantly surprised. Felt perfectly normal afterwards as well.

Try not to worry, OP, but maybe take some painkillers before your appointment just in case.

PenOrPencil · 28/09/2020 21:02

I thought the nurse was still prepping when she said we were done! Some very light spotting and cramping afterwards, nothing a light painkiller can’t take care of.

MrsGxx · 28/09/2020 21:05

Thankyou for your advice ladies. I think with the current situation also going on my anxiety levels are pretty high, but it must come out. I was told to take a paracetamol an hour before.
I think I’m more nervous about the period I will have as I have had my coil in for 6 years😬😟
