I’m having my mirena removed after 6 years on Tuesday..
any experiences on having it out? It’s making my anxiety through the roof hearing about the mirena crash etc 😌😬🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m so nervous x

Had two removals/exchanges and had no problems, went to bed after was fine the next day. You'll be fine, it's pretty quick too.Flowers

When I had mine removed I literally didn't feel a thing. The GP thought it might be awkward because the strings were short, but it was no bother- one quick tug and it was out, neatly and painlessly.

I had no Mirena crash, but I was post menopausal when mine came out.

Removed my own after an embarrassing length of time, probably post menopausal. Took a tiny tug, no afterpains. Never heard of a crash til now.

Nurse asked me to cough. She gently pulled stings. I didn't feel a thing. Easy.

I had a little drink before I went to relax me because getting it in was not fun. It was totally fine coming out. Quick and no discomfort. May or may not have been the short drink of port. Grin
