Sorry to bother anyone but a week ago my vagina was itchy and I searched it up and it said to put tea tree down there. Thankfully the itching is gone but the last time I did it burned so much it was quite painful. Anyways it has been a couple of days sinse then and I was wiping down there and a large strip of my skin was on the wipe. I wiped again another strip of skin came of. Is this bad, I am really worried what do I do.

(also please be kind, I am 13 and am embarrased to talk to my mum about it so I came here)

Tea tree can be quite harsh and the skin on the vulva and vagina is very sensitive.

If you tell your mum about it will she not want to help you?

Do you have any sudocrem in the house? If you can, bathe gently with water (no soap), and apply sudocrem.

Wear cotton knickers if you can (or none at night) while it heals.

But, if it gets worse please do tell your mum so you can see the doctor, or call the doctor yourself.

Undiluted tea-tree is too harsh for such a sensitive area. I'm sorry you found out the hard way! I second the advice you've already had about a luke-warm bath and cotton underwear. You'll probably feel tender for a few days but it will heal. But you might still be left with the itching problem which you will need to fix with something more suitable.

Can you not talk to your mum? Or maybe another relative or the mum of a friend? They could take you to a chemist and help you get what you need.

You might have thrush in which case you want to wear loose clothing and see a doctor.
Please talk to your Mum, its nothing she's not heard about before.

Thank you so much for everyones advice, it has made feel better! I will try and get some sudo cream and stick to cotton underwear. If the itching does not stop I will try and go to a family friend to go see a doctor.
Thank you sooo muchhh again, I really appreciate it!! :)
